It is hard to believe that 20 years ago ADCO opened its doors. We began as a small neighborhood gun shop, serving people in Woburn, Massachusetts, 10 miles northwest of Boston, as well as members of neighboring communities. From that point we learned a lot about what consumers wanted and what dealers needed. At that time we didn't realize the growth ADCO would sustain over the next few years, which would eventually change the focus on how ADCO would satisfy consumers.
The first major step was with the E-Z Brite Cloth. This was the original lead wipe cloth for cleaning stainless steel and nickel revolvers in particular. It was sold locally for years. But in 1984, bringing the product to a national stage via the SHOT Show was a significant move for me and ultimately ADCO. A year later we were on the move with Super Thumb, now a staple in most gun stores. That simple magazine loader quickly developed into a complete line of loaders. That was a turning point for us, taking our focus away from direct sales to consumers so as to assist dealers across the country with a number of firearms accessories retail customers were beginning to demand.
In the 15 years we have dealt with reflex sights we have produced many variations for many markets. You find most of our sights on target guns, hunting guns, air guns and paintball markers. Although there are so many things that have to be aimed, the markets that we now penetrate boggle the imagination. In the effort to satisfy these many demands, ADCO has become the source for a wide variety of dot sight systems for every need.
We pride ourselves with top quality products and superior service. A lot of planning and research goes into every product that bears the ADCO name and we do all that we can to insure that when you reach for that name, you'll be happy you chose ADCO.
Many new ideas are in the works to begin this new century. Keep your sights set on ADCO for innovations of the old and even some new projects for 2001.
